Finding that quite space in your head, is I reckon one of the hardest things to master. I struggle with it more than anything else..My brain is easily excited and keeps me awake most nights! Meditation or continuous shamanic drumming does help us get out of our head and back into the body.
Music has been my saviour . It stops me overloading when I need to stop thinking with my logical brain.Depending on the mood..may listen to anything! The more you know you are "thinking" the harder it is stop.(Fabulous at 4am in the morning) I get a lot of emails from women especially, asking me about what is a good meditation or something to help sleep. Because we are all have different stuff going on in our lives..its easy for someone else to say relax isn't it? You know you should, but then again?
I can only say what works for me..I can chuck on Mellon collie and the infinite sadness by the Smashing pumpkins 1 & 2 one night and the next something completely different.
